Dangerous Obsession by Opal Nicks is part of the multi author series Dangerous Devotion and it was the second title I've read by this author.
As a protector, bodyguard, suspense romance I wasn't disappointed as the plot and storyline was engaging especially with the main characters of Rowan, country music star and Rhett, the ex-Black Ops private security specialist.
Rowan has a stalker that is getting past backstage security and getting too personal with the messages being left. Rhett is called in to shadow and guard her and discover the perpetrator with his outside security team.
With elements of intrigue, drama and psychological stalking woven throughout to build the suspense and simmering chemistry of Rowan and Rhett, I was hooked on this book quickly.
As they spend time together dealing with the security breaches and strategizing a way to find the stalker, Rhett struggles to maintain professional distance and Rowan starts to feel seen beyond the celebrity persona she maintains constantly. As a slow burn romance it was well written and with their developing emotional connection and physical chemistry, the steam and spiciness and also the stalker action coming to a head, it all made for an entertaining read that kept me turning the pages right through to the very end and their satisfying HEA.

Dangerous Devotion story of Rowan Hart and Rhett Kade. That is one wild ride of mystery and danger but the best thing to come out of this stalker is Rowan gets her man Rhett to keep for all time and a love that will have you laughing and swooning at how she tells the world about Rhett.
